Don't Let Him See

So Ive been REALLY into the manga Skip Beat lately and suddenly got in the mood to attempt drawing this one part of the manga. It's a scene that just really grips my fangirl heart and I adore it. One thing that really draws me to this manga is the heartache the heroine is constantly put through. She grew up with a mother who hated her and eventually abandoned her. Constantly got bullied and never had any friends except a boy who ended up dumping her once they became teenagers. And then she falls in love with Ren Tsuruga and when she realizes it, she's terrified. A heroine in a romance comedy manga spiteful and afraid of love? That's the first time Ive seen such a thing in manga (and Ive read a lot of romance comedy manga) so I was extremely fascinated when I started this manga. I'm at volume 33 now (technically haven't even gotten to the part I drew here but I spoiled myself lol) and can't wait for me.

As for the title of this...yes, I took the line from the song "Let It Go" from Frozen (well kinda...I changed one word). Seeing as how Kyoko narrates this part with something along the lines of "Tsuruga-san is the only one I don't want to see these feelings I've kept hidden..." and steps off the cliff to stay distanced from him. I thought it an appropriate title.

I'm proud of how Ren looks in this but Kyoko.....eh. I haven't drawn in a month or more so its no surprise I suck lol I was really lazy with the details on this so that's why it also looks so messy *shrug*
