We'll always stick together

ZOMG I LOVE how this turned out!! It's little Allen and Chihiro I got a long story to type this time so bare with me...and there is a timeskip of about 3 months in this one so that means its been 3 months since Chi and her dad began staying at the order. Btw sorry about Allen's looks in this one...I made him look fat XD Well he's wearing a big jacket but still..and I wasn't sure how to draw him from the back but meh.

And in case anyone wonders, in the story where it says a quote in bold, that indicates a line that was said in the past of the story.

Storyline:

"Welcome back Allen!"

"How did the mission go?"

"Good, thank you everyone." Allen smiled at all his fellow Black order members surrounding him. It had been a week since the teen had been back to the order. He had been assigned on a solo mission to protect a city that was under Akuma attack. The mission had gone well; all the akuma had been destroyed and only about two lives were lost. However, no innocence was found in the process.

Allen groaned in annoyance as he walked down the corridors of the order. He had not slept in a few days because of the trip and so he had decided it would be best to just return to his room before reporting to Komui about the mission. As he continued to walk down the halls, a small sound could be heard coming from behind him. The boy turned around...nothing was there. Allen held his head,

'I must be going insane...I swear I had thought I had heard footsteps behind me...' The exorcist shrugged it off and continued down the hall...and yet, again he heard:

-tap tap tap...!!-

Allen turned around again...nothing was there. He swallowed, 'Okay, I KNOW I heard them that time. Now what--' Allen's thoughts were caught off when he felt something fall on top of him causing him to fall to the floor. Only...it wasn't SOMETHING that FELL on top of him at all. More like a PERSON who JUMPED onto him.

"Hi Allen~ <3" Chihiro said, now sitting on top of Allen, peering down at him. She leaned down closer and touched her nose with Allen and giggled.

"C-Chihiro..." Grunting in pain, Allen gently pushed Chihiro off of him and sat up.

"S-Sorry...I got all excited when I heard you were back from your mission." Laughing nervously, Chi helped Allen stand back up. She blushed, "So, how did the mission go?"

"Good. All the akuma in the area I explored were destroyed.

Chihiro looked to the ground and smiled, "...It must be interesting to be an exorcist." The girl folded her arms and leaned against a wall, "I've seen you and so many others go to and from missions...heck, I ever saw yours and Lenalee's anti-akuma weapons in work when Komui sent out Sir Komlin II on you that one time...But I still wonder, how does one become an exorcist?"

Allen smirked, "You have to be the accomadator of innocence."

Chihiro chuckled, rubbing her arm nervously, "Oh yeah. That crap that you make into a weapon..." The blonde looked at her friend and smiled warmly, "...You're amazing Allen."

Allen quickly covered his face that was now bright red, "N-Not really...O////O;" Chihiro shook her head and turned to leave,

"...You're not very different from when you were little Allen. You still get embarrassed very easily..." And at that, Chihiro headed down to her room, leaving Allen alone in the corridor with his blushing face. He slid back down to the floor and frowned...

"...Not very different huh?" Allen suddenly felt himself start to drift into a deep sleep...

Flashback ~(Allen POV)

I remember the first time I met Chihiro. I was sitting alone by a lake when a strange kid came up to me...

"Hi there~ What's your name?"

"A-Allen..."

"Allen, huh? Nice to meet ya! I'm Chihiro but you can call me Chi-chan "

I was about five or six at the time. It was right after Mana took me in. I was pretty quiet as a kid...especially right after I had been adopted so you can probably imagine my surprise when a strange girl about two years older then me came up and greeted me from out of no where. I had never seen her around town before but there was something about her that I instantly liked...it wasn't love at first site or anything...but she seemed like a really nice person...and at the same time, she also seemed like a really WEIRD person too. But it wasn't long until after we met that we became good friends and started doing all sorts of crazy things...

"Hey Allen, wanna go swimming in the lake over there?" Chihiro pointed at the lake that was in front of us and looked back with that usual grin of hers. Startled by the sudden proposal, I looked away, blushing.

"S-Swimming? But it's really cold out, Chi-chan!"

"Oh come onnnnn. It's more fun to swim in the cold!" Before I could run away, Chi grabbed me by my arm, laughing, and jumped into the lake, taking me down in with her. That lake water was so cold...to this day, I can still feel its chill when I think about that time.

"C-Cold!!" I shot up from the lake and doggy-paddled my way back onto land. I coughed a few times then sat on the ground, shivering like crazy. Chihiro looked at me and just laughed,

"See? Wasn't that fun?" Chihiro got out of the water, sat beside me and gave me a big hug. She giggled, "You never have any fun, Allen. Why don't you ever play with any of your other friends?"

...I remember my reaction when she asked me that. I buried my head into my knees as to hide my face. My heart ached and I felt like crying really bad...And all I could respond with was "I don't have any other friends." It was partially true. Even after Mana adopted me, I never met any kids that were my age that ever wanted to be my friend. So...I was a little happy when I met Chihiro. She was the first friend I had until I met Master Cross.

When I responded with what I did, Chihiro just looked at me and said "Oh...Well, if it makes you feel any better, neither do I!" Chihiro smiled so sadly at me after that...that sad smile of hers made me wonder if that usual grin she always had was just a mask covering some deep dark secret she was keeping to herself. But that thought of mine went away pretty quickly because of what she said next...."That's why you and me need to stick together!! Best friends! ALWAYS!" Chihiro's normal smile returned to her face as she held out a pinky finger. Not knowing what to do, I titled my head in confusion,

"Eh...?"

Chihiro just blinked, "Pinky swear on it! Promise we'll ALWAYS stick together and never leave each others side! We'll be best friends forever and ever!"

Those words...were the sweetest words I'd ever heard since I had been adopted. Her words...filled my heart with hope and happiness. It almost felt like it would burst when I took my pinky with hers and promised that we'd always stick together..never leave each others side. From that day on...we would always be together no matter what...that is, until....

"Allen!! How COULD YOU?! YOU'VE TURNED ME INTO AN AKUMA!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!"

"M-MANA!! I'M SORRY- I-I'M SO SO SORRY!!!"

"I CURSE YOU, BOY!!"

"AHHHH!!!!!"

"Allen Walker...how would you like to become an exorcist?"

"...hn...?"

"My name is Cross Marian. Nice to meet you..."

After Mana died and I met Cross, I left the town and began traveling. Come to think of it, I never even said goodbye to her...I just...left right after I met Cross. I couldn't think of anything else after that night I turned Mana into an Akuma...and now that I look back on that, I realize something horrible and so sad that it makes me want to jump off a cliff and die. I...forgot about my promise to her...our promise that we had made to each other. We both told each other...that we had no one else....so we would always be there for each other...I...I left Chihiro all alone, with no friends....I broke...that promise. The first promise I had EVER made with anyone...and I didn't keep it. After what I did to Mana, becoming an exorcist was all I could think about...I totally disregarded all those precious, happy memories I had made with her. Because I figured...becoming an exorcist was far more important than staying with her...

"You're not very different from when you were little."

Not very different? You have no idea, Chihiro. If you knew what I was like now...if you SAW what I was like in battle... you'd know I'm not the same best friend you had three years ago.

"That's why you and I need to stick together! Best friends!! Forever!"

Best....friends? Can we even....call each other that anymore...?

End flashback (regular POV)

"Allen...Allen, wake up!"

"Hey, should we get a doctor? According to Lenalee, he's been laying out here for a while."

"Not yet Johnny....Damn it Allen, WAKE UP!"

"Maybe we should get Komlin II to--"

"HELL NO NUMBER 65!!"

"MM..." Yawning and touching his head, Allen sat up and looked around. He blinked...all the scientists and Lenalee were surrounding him and looking down at him in worry. "Guys...what are you doing here?"

"We were so worried Allen! I found you collapsed on the floor out here so I panicked and got the other scientists to try and help wake you up!" Clenching her hands in prayer position, Lenalee leaned downward and looked at her friend.

Reever smiled, "Are you okay, Allen? I know you just got back from your mission so it isn't uncommon for you to be so tired that you just crashed here on your way to your room."

Laughing, the exorcist boy nodded, "I'm fine, guys. Sorry to worry you." He stood up, "I think I'm gonna go to my room now...see you guys later." And before anyone could say anything, Allen walked away. Now everything was silent...

"...Section leader Reever?"

"Yeah Johnny?"

"...That must have been one hell of a dream Allen was having..."

"What do you mean?"

"Because, before he woke up..." Johnny looked at Reever seriously, "Allen was crying and mumbling things like 'I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Chihiro."

Reever sighed, "Well I know those two used to be best friends. But I wonder just why he'd apologize to her in the first place..oh well. It's not our business so BACK TO WORK EVERYBODY!"

"YES SIR!" All the scientists nodded and Reever and made their way back to their office, leaving Lenalee alone. She sunk to the floor...

Tears filled the girl's eyes, "Allen...do you...Could you be in love with....?"

With Allen in his room

"Lets always stick together."

'...I left her behind...I broke our promise...that dream about my past...made me remember what I had forgotten." Allen brought his arm up over his eyes as he felt tears begin to pour out down his face, 'I'm sorry...I'm sorry Chihiro...'

"Pinky promise! Best friends forever!"

'....I lo....'

Yeah...finally got it typed up. Yeah two drawings posted today~ Lol anyways wow right? The storyline for this pic isn't as happy as the pic itself XDD Oh well~ Now here's a question that is gonna be raised...Does Chihiro even REMEMBER the promise her and Allen made and if she does, how does she truly feel about Allen behind that cheerful face of hers? Find out in the next drawing...maybe XDD;
