My One Regret

I was feeling a little better today so I decided to go ahead and draw my Soul Eater OCs. I think by now, everyone knows Korosu is easily embarrassed and tends to blush very hard when he does become flustered. The story to this drawing takes place back before Korosu was taken over by the kishin's madness (which is also why Nyx has short hair and is wearing her old outfit in this). I have had this storyline in my document's manager on FF.net for so many months now; I'm glad I was able to finally draw a picture with it so I could post the story on here.

Storyline
Some time after Nyx is released from the infirmary and starts going on missions with Korosu again; she tells him something she had been keeping to herself one day during training,

"You know, Korosu...I really am surprised at how much you've changed...not that I disliked you before or anything,"

Korosu simply chuckles and tells her she's an idiot for not resenting him for how he used to be and Nyx follows up with a giggle herself and then continues,

"Now that...we're getting along better and it's been a few months...I think it's time I told you this. I have just one regret that I've been hiding from everyone here at the academy..."

Korosu becomes worried and fears Nyx will say the regret is about him and believes she will dump him as her partner on the spot. However, what Nyx actually says surprises Korosu for a different reason,

"My only regret...is that I went blind before I got to see your smile."

Korosu blushes madly and goes into a frantic attack, telling her that his smile is nothing special and that her smile is a lot prettier then his. Nyx laughs and Korosu becomes even more embarrassed by the unintentional compliment but calms down after a while. He then takes Nyx's hand with his own, gently; sensing she is saddened once again by the fact that she is forever blind. Korosu comforts her and tells her that if she wants to see his smile, all's she has to do is imagine it in her mind.

Nyx then replies back with, "That's true but I'm sure I could never imagine as cute a smile as your own."

Korosu becomes flustered once again and turns away; feeling for some reason that he had to hide his face. Still, deep down he knew that Nyx couldn't see his face. But somehow, he thought for a split second, just a second, that Nyx had been able to see the red patch of blush that covered his face.
