Edit: My reason for adding names at the end of some of the lyrics is those are the lyrics that suit how that person feels about the other best. I just felt like doing it that way.

I thought this song worked PERFECTLY for Kanda and my oc Chihiro. I recently listened to it after so long and can't believe I didn't realize how well this song fit before. In my story, I have Kanda hate Chihiro,who later becomes a teammate of his, at the start. He hates her overly unusual cheerfulness(which she only has until her father dies) and positive attitude(which she attains when she becomes an exorcist). Chi also teases Kanda a lot which tends to piss him off. But as time goes on, his feelings change and he begins to act nicer to her. After realizing the hard times she goes through, seeing the pain she endures and after a long time of being near her, Kanda falls in love with Chihiro. Of course, he only falls in love with Chihiro AFTER the incident with Alma Karma and the North American branch attack. Its also sorta the same for Chi. She never "hated" Kanda but she didn't like his attitude and always claimed she did hate him. Yet later she comes to love him. Thus the reason the song fits so well.

The lyrics being sung are in both Chihiro and Kanda's point of view. It seems some lyrics work better for Chihiro while some work better for Kanda. Knowing how Kanda's personality is, it should be simple to figure out why certain lyrics suit Kanda's feelings. Chihiro often feels pushed away by Kanda and feels like she should hate him, that should give you guys some understanding as to why which lyrics suit her best.

Gah, it kind of bothers me I didn't draw more of Kanda behind Chi. It looks a little weird that I didn't extend his shoulders and hair. Mehhhh >.<
