Previous part:[link]

It took me a week to type up this storyline. I already have the next part written so now I got to get started on that XDDD Both the storylines to this and the next part are rly long. Sorry guys. And also, I got a new monitor for my computer and color looks different on here then it did for me before (yes I tried adjusting the brightness and junk but it doesn't help much) so I apologize if Chi and Kyonshis hair color changes at all.

As usual, title is blah :/

Storyline:

"...So why has Komui called us down again, Reever?" Allen asked as he walked beside Lenalee and the leader of the science section. Reever had suddenly appeared, asking them to come to Komui's office.

Reever sighed and shook his head, "No clue. My guess is he wants you guys to collect some innocence somewhere." Reever came to the door of Komui's office and opened it. The section leader stepped aside, motioning for the exorcists to go in first. Entering the room, Allen looked around. Komui's office was as messy as ever, that was for sure. Then Allen noticed something near the bookcase by Komui's desk; The exorcist boy's eyes widened.

"Hey Allen!" A man with red hair, wearing an eye patch greeted with a grin, running over to his fellow exorcist in excitement.

Allen rose his eyebrows, "Lavi, what-"

"Hello Allen! Its good to see you~" Another man appeared before Allen. His hair was black and white and he wore a cloak. In a sense, he sort of resembled Dracula. It was the orders newest member: Arystar Krory III.

"Hi Krory...what are you-"

"Bean sprout is here too? You gotta be kidding me..." Again, Allen was interrupted...and not by one as cheerful and nice as Lavi or Krory were. Allen froze. Slowly, he looked over. He suddenly felt sick at who he saw,

"Oh Kanda...always so nice to see you." He said with a hint of sarcasm and annoyance in his voice. Kanda turned his head in irritation.

Lenalee smiled at her friends, looking to each of them. "Guys, why are you here?" Finally, someone was able to get the question Allen had been trying to ask for the past five minutes out. Lavi and Krory grinned,

"Because Komui called us! Why else?" Lavi shouted, eagerly. Krory nodded and returned the smile,

"Yes, I do believe we all were called here to be assigned the same mission." Allen looked over to the vampire looking man and frowned,

"The same mission? With all five of us? Must be a really big mission then..."

"OH HOW RIGHT YOU ARE, ALLEN!" Allen and the others suddenly jumped and looked over to where the loud, if not somewhat creepy, voice had came from. In the back of the room, Komui Lee descended from the shadows with a big evil grin on his face. Allen blinked,

"Komui? When did you-"

"I snuck in" The exorcists sweat dropped. Coming into the room, Reever shook his head at the chief,

"Just tell them about the mission, you coffee-crazed, sister-obsessed sociopath."

Komui fell over, "TH-That's not very nice, Reever!" Komui cried out as he ran over to the section leader. It wasn't long before the two began arguing which went on to continue for a long time. Lavi looked to his friends who nodded at him. Unable to take the constant bickering anymore, Lavi smirked and walked over to the two, holding his hammer behind his back,

"Hey Komui..."

"Yessss, dear Lavi?"

"BIG HAMMER, LITTLE HAMMER~!" Lavi lifted up his weapon as if to hit the baka chief in front of him. Komui let out a high-pitched squeal and hid behind his desk,

"O-OK, I GET IT! I'll tell you about the mission..."

Obviously now proud of himself, Lavi blew on his hammer, twirled it with his fingers, then put it back in its holder and sat himself down beside Allen and Lenalee. Allen sweat dropped again, looking over at his friend.

"...Okay, fun's over." Komui adjusted his glasses then looked to the exorcists, seriously. They frowned, bracing themselves for what Komui was about to tell them.

"What is the mission we are being assigned to, sir?" Krory asked politely as he looked to his other friends around him. Komui looked downward before answering,

"...The mission I am assigning to you all is nothing but a mission of protection. I do not need you to find innocence or anything of the sort. This mission is an unusual one for you all, indeed." Komui looked up. The exorcists exchanged looks, slightly confused. However, one of the exorcists was far too irritated now to look at anyone but the head chief in front of him,

"Not having to do with innocence? Then why the HELL are you sending us? Get some damn finders on this- I have much better ways to spend my time dammit!" Kanda snorted, standing up from his seat in anger. Komui shook his head and put up a hand to cut Kanda off,

"As I said, this mission involves PROTECTION as in PROTECTING SOMEONE FROM ANY DANGER such as Akuma. Therefore I am sending you all."Komui then placed both of his hands on the desk in front of him and leaned over, "...The mission involves Chihiro and her father..."

"...!" Allen gulped, clenching one of his knees. Lavi and Krory looked at each other and blinked,

"Chihiro?"

Komui smiled, "You two haven't met her yet. She and her father have been staying at the order for some months now as to be protected from any akuma. You see, they had been living in a city not too far from here a while back; but when everyone in the village but those two were killed, they came running here. Allen, care to take it from here?" Komui looked to the young exorcist, nodding at him. Allen returned the nod and stood up,

"Chihiro is the girl with long blonde hair and red eyes that's been roaming around the order. She is a childhood friend of mine. According to her, she met Master Cross a few months ago and he told her to come here to the order so she would be protected. Cross was the one to save them from the attacking Akuma so that is why only they lived." Lavi looked to Allen and then to the floor, as if he were pondering something. Shortly after, Lavi snapped his fingers and looked back up,

"OH YEAH! Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing a smoking hot chick around here! Wait...so that blonde guy is her daddy?" Allen nodded. Lavi let out a sigh of relief, "Oh thank God! I thought with how young that guy looks, he was her boyfriend!" Allen grunted in disgust and looked back to Komui,

"Well, they are pretty close but defiantly not like that, Lavi. Anyways, can we get back on subject, please?"

"Of course, Allen." Komui smiled and opened his mouth to continue when Krory raised a hand in question, "Yes Krory?"

"Um...is this girl or her father an accommodater of innocence by any chance? I know Allen said Master Cross saved them from the akuma and told them to come here so they'd be protected but it isn't like him to...help others out. Especially when it's only two people, right?" Krory looked to Allen before continuing, "...and so if that's true, could it be that Cross had another reason for why he told them to come here? Perhaps Cross sensed either of those two as an exorcist and that is the real reason they were sent here?"

A slight pause...Komui smiled, "My, oh my, Krory. Its as if you read my mind." The man pushed his glasses upward. Allen and Lenalee looked to each other in shock then back at Komui,

"Brother? What do you mean? Do you think that Chihiro or her father is an-"

Again, Komui put up a hand as to cut Lenalee off, "This is what I wanted to talk about. Allen, you know Chihiro has been having a nightmare about her father's death, correct?" Allen nodded; Komui continued, "And you know the Millennium Earl appears in her dream, yes?" Again, Allen nodded. Komui turned so that his back was facing the others now, "...The way things stand...we, of the science division, believe that her nightmare may just become a realty."

Allen's silver eyes widened, "Wait... Komui, what the hell? Its just a dream-"

"While it IS just a dream to you, Allen, it seems to be more then just that. We have analyzed her dreams and the pattern of akuma attacks lately and we may have a possible reason for why akuma would want to kill her father or even her."

"Akuma?" Lavi asked, putting his hands behind his head.

"Yes. In Chihiro's dream, she stated her father was covered in pentacles when he died. Therefore, he was killed by an akuma in her dream. Here is what I believe; The Earl ordered akuma to attack the city Chi and her father had been living in as an attempt to kill them. When he saw that they made it out alive and came to the Black order, he decided to give Chihiro the nightmare as a warning to her. To put it simply, the Earl caused Chi to have the nightmare about her father's death. I suspect that the Earl is after both of them. He plans to kill Kyonshi first and then Chihiro. To weaken her, he caused her to have the nightmare about her father's death. So that way once he has killed Kyonshi, it will be easy to take her down."

Lavi shook his head and jumped up, "WAIT WAIT WAIT! That doesn't make any sense!"

"You'd be surprised at what the Earl is capable of-"

"NOT THAT, KOMUI! I get the Earl caused that nightmare. But WHY? Why would he go to so much trouble to kill some humans that escaped his akuma from a few months ago? If it was just for level-up purposes then the akuma could just kill anyone else and still level up. Why does he seem to be so fixated on killing Chihiro and her dad? Whats so special about THEM?"

"...Because, one of them is an accommodater of innocence."

"...Wha? How do you know?" Allen shouted, running up to Komui and slamming his hands on the desk, "What basis do you have for saying that, Komui?"

"As I said earlier, our scientists have been analyzing Chihiro's dream. That wasn't all. Over the past few months Chihiro and Kyonshi have stayed here, we have kept a close eye over those two and we are now under the belief that one of them may be an exorcist. We aren't entirely sure, of course. But there does seem to be a high possibility. They each show signs of being one but we are not sure who exactly is the one who could bind with innocence, if at all."

Krory stood up, seriously, "Has any of the innocence in our possession reacted or glowed as if its user had been found?"

"Not yet. But it is as you said earlier, Krory. I don't believe that for one minute, Cross saved those two just so he could be a hero. That isn't like him. I believe you were right when you said he sent them here because he too suspected one of them could be an accomadater." Allen wobbled back to his chair and sat down. His head felt as if it were spinning thanks to all the things Komui had just said.

'Chihiro or Kyonshi...an exorcist? No way...they can't be...' Allen touched his head in pain, '...No...No...that isn't...'

"So now for the mission. I want you all to escort Chihiro and her father to another branch of the Black order. It is a few miles North of here. No, not the Asian branch, but another one. I'll give you a map and later tomorrow you should be on your way. As I said before, this is a mission of protection. Since we believe the Earl suspects that Chi and her father could be innocence-users, there is a good chance akuma will attack. You all are to get those two there, safely."

"Wait, brother. Why are we taking them there exactly?"

"For two reasons: One, there at that branch, those two will be more protected then they are here, believe it or not. There is a barrier set around that place and no akuma can get in or out. And two, the scientists there will be able to determine if either of them is an exorcist. By the way, Chihiro nor her father know we suspect them of being exorcists. We'd like to keep it that way until we know for sure if either can bond with innocence."

Lavi sighed and looked back up, "Wait. Why don't we just study them here and find out if they're users? We have Havlaska and wouldn't it be better to-"

"Because, it would be best to get those two a change of scenery. Especially Chi. Her father suggested it would help ease her stress. And besides, as I said, they will get better protection there."

"...This whole freaking trip is totally pointless."Kanda huffed, crossing his arms. Allen rolled his eyes,

"Oh shut up, 'ponytail' " Kanda shot a evil glare at the bean sprout boy then looked away.

Allen smiled to himself, "So you want us to leave tomorrow morning, right?"

Komui smirked, "Yes. The trip should take you a few days. I wish the best of luck to you all. You are dismissed."

Nodding, all the exorcists but Allen got up and made their way out of the office. Reever touched Allen on the shoulder, telling him to stay a bit longer. Allen looked to Komui who had his head down; his bangs covering his eyes. Sensing something was wrong, Allen walked to Komui's desk,

"Komui, whats-"

"Allen. You're one of our strongest exorcists...so please. I beg you-" Komui looked up quickly, tears flying from his eyes, "PROTECT THEM. PROTECT THOSE TWO NO MATTER WHAT...IF ANYTHING WERE TO HAPPEN TO THEM, I'D..." Allen suddenly felt sick.

Clenching his stomach, Allen nodded, turned away, and made his way out of the room as fast as he could. And as the boy walked away from the room, a small voice shouted "GOOD LUCK!". Allen clenched his stomach harder and ran down the corridors...

~The next day, as they get ready to leave on the trip~

"...Really?"

Krory and Allen looked to Lavi with WTF expressions. The hammer exorcist had completely frozen where he stood. Just a few minutes ago, the exorcists had descended from the order, to the waterways where they found Chihiro and her father awaiting them. Krory had made acquaintance with Chi and Kyonshi as he was supposed to do. However, Lavi had froze where he stood at seeing Chihiro in front of him. Allen and Krory exchanged looks and groaned,

"He's SO gonna say it..."

"Uh...is he okay?" Chihiro asked in concern, poking Lavi in the stomach. He didn't move.

"Sorry about Lavi, Chihiro. He gets...crazy when he's in the presence of a pretty gir-"

"SHE'S SO DAMN HOT!" Lavi shouted, giving a thumbs up. Allen and Krory fell over backwards at their friend. Chihiro blinked,

"Huh?"

"Lavi, PLEASE! Have some dignity!" Allen scolded, standing up, pulling on Lavi's ear in rage.

"BUT SHES TOTALLY MY-"

"DON'T SAY IT!" Allen, Krory, and Kanda all screamed, hitting Lavi upside the head. At the gravity of the impact, Lavi fell to the ground in pain.

Now that Lavi had been punished, Allen glanced over at Chihiro who now had her head down.

"...Chihiro, you okay?" At hearing her name, Chi looked up at her friend then back down.

Kyonshi, who stood beside her, smiled politely,

"She's just a little tired, that's all. Once the trip is over, she'll be fine." Laughing, Kyonshi patted his daughter's head playfully as they got into the boat.

Allen let out a nervous laugh, "R-Right."

The boy smiled and looked away. He could feel his heart beginning to sink again. Just as it had done when Kyonshi had told him about Chihiro's nightmare and also when Komui told him about the science division believing his childhood friend and her father could be exorcists. No matter what, whenever he thought of that, Allen's heart would sink more and more.

"...Damn." The fifteen year old looked to Lenalee. Noticing her friend was looking at her, she frowned,

"Allen, is something wrong?"

The boy turned to face his friend, "Lenalee..." He bit his lip, "...n-never mind."

"Really? Okay..."

Sighing, Allen got into the boat and sat in front of Chihiro. The boy shut his eyes...

"I'll protect Kyonshi no matter what!"

"PLEASE...PROTECT THEM. IF ANYTHING HAPPENED TO THEM...!"

'...Yes...I will.' Allen looked to his fellow exorcists who had all now gotten into boats and were ready to leave.

When he looked back, Allen also noticed Chi smiling at him. 'I'll...protect them...I won't...break my promise..." As Allen began to feel tears well up in his eyes, he felt something hug his waist. Looking back down, he saw Chihiro, cuddling up to him.

"Thank you for this, Allen. I'm sure father and I will be just fine with you around." Allen smiled lightly and nodded, then turned back around so Chihiro could not see his face.

"...N-No problem." And with that, the seven of them started off on their journey to the North branch of the Black order.

~Just outside the order~

"Hey, I think the exorcists just started their journey like the Earl said they'd be doing! I heard them in the waterways. We should be able to get to them once they get on the road, hehehe." An akuma said to his fellows, as they flew over the Black order. One of the three akuma chuckled,

"Stupid exorcists! They're a bunch of fools, coming out in the open just to get to another part of the Order!" The third akuma smiled but looked to his friends in a strict manner,

"Indeed but don't let your guards down. The Earl said those guys are tougher than they look." The other two nodded, laughing insanely. The first turned to the third with a grin,

"I'm so gonna enjoy killing them!" The third smirked,

"Yes but don't forget. Its not the exorcists we're after..." The third held up a picture that seemed to have a father hugging his daughter in it, "The real victims here...shall be this father and his stupid little girl." All three akuma broke out into insane laughter again,

"A-AND THEN WE KILL THE EXORCISTS TOO!"

"WAHAHAHA! THIS IS GONNA BE SO FUN!"

The third stopped laughing and looked to the North, "Lets go kill us some pathetic humans..." The two nodded at their friends and started off into the North...
